Celtic / Invisible & Logical Must Apologise.
by Englishman ingentlemen,.
your posts were out of order.
you bring shame upon our country, and i feel angry with both of you.. there are certain rules that people abide by.. 1. you never insult / criticise someone's kids unless you want their parents to hate you.. 2. you don't foist your religious beliefs upon others, because, in so doing, you appear to be taking the moral highground, and this is extremely irritating.

WHERE ARE THE BRAVE?
by QUANTUM inhave you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the declaration of independence?
five signers were captured by the british as traitors, and tortured before they died.
twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.

WTS looooooong book titles
by Nathan Natas inwhile researching the history of "second adventism" prior to charles taze russell, i discovered this brilliant and funny site: http://www.geocities.com/athens/oracle/9941/index.html.
from it i obtained the title of the reverend mr. baxter's book, but i give it a slightly different introduction:.
1868 ce - the reverend m. baxter provided the wts their inspiration for unusually long book.

Quantum...
I am one of the few "never-been-a-JW" on this board. And while I agree with several points that you made, preaching on this board is about as useful as a tit on a bull. This board has numerous uses, i.e. venting, consoling, praising, etc...but preaching isn't one of them.. I too have very personal beliefs in a loving and all powerful Heavenly Father, one who cares about each of us individually, I also believe in the power of prayer....but I know that my beiefs come from my own life experiences. The experiences of people on this board run the gamet of loss of family and identity to suicidal and extreme depression. A lot of the people have had life 'kick them in the teeth' and yet for a majority of posters, there seems to be this overwhelming spirit of picking themselves up by the bootstaps, overcoming their mental and emotional monsters and thumbing their noses at what once was their oppressor. If you believe, like I do, that life is a journey and a learning experience, don't worry about preaching .... life is giving a sermon everyday to the people on this board, and they, like you and me are for the most part listening.

Patriot.....from Lucidentity
by lucidentity in.
patriot......the only country i would live in is new zealand....it is beautiful, it is a slow pace of life and it is pretty neutral when it comes to world factions......... i too knew people who lost their lives last years tradegy.....and a girls uncle who was on the second plane that hit..i went to 3 funerals becasue of it...it iwas horrible....and i sooooo surprised that uk has not been hit by these so-called holy warriors yet as they are so closely connected with the us.. anyway....talking about beer...a great bar in manhattan is the ginger man on 36th street between 5th and madison..you should check it out !

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA....not quite, but unless you have been somewhere to really appreciate another country, then you can see the differences in humanity.
Besides....whats wrong with sheep !!!! Farmers over there now have taken to wearing skirts....that way the sheep cant hear the zipper !!!!!!!
Lucid...you've taken my words WAY beyond what I was saying. I only meant New Zealand is noted for their sheep... I wan't implying anything of a sexual nature whatsoever....scheeeeeesh.

My surreal district convention
by RunningMan inwell, i just got back from yet another summer ass-marathon.
seventeen hours of sitting in hockey arena seats that were made for three hour games, trying to stay awake, while not losing contact with my extremities.. needless to say, the program was dull and boring.
in fact, i'm not completely sure that they didnt just re-run last year's.

quick question for any ex-jw's.... is it mandatory to go to conventions? What if you don't go...how will they know if you do or don't.
